I ordered the Horchata French Toast with scrambled eggs and it was delicious. I was a little intimidated by the means of ordering, scanning the menu with my phone and ordering on line but it turned out to be simple. My technology skills are very limited, but after I ordered someone came in and ordered off the menu at the counter, so I also had that option. Service was fast and friendly, food was great, definitely worth checking out.

I used to live right down the road when Basalt opened. When everyone waited in line for other local restaurants - I grabbed my yummy food from my secret gem and walking away with eyes following me! Even with the re-brand of Asada, I love the food here. The chopped brisket is my fav but if I am in need of a smaller treat- the tots with the green sauce is the best! Also, the best hibiscus drink around. Staff always friendly. Atmosphere inside is chill and welcoming. I also appreciate some vegan options, as well as some GF items (naturally GF).

Of the top, if not THE top, restaurants in Grand Rapids. I consistently adore the food here, the vibe they put on, and to top it all off, the owner is a really thoughtful guy with a kind worldview I wholeheartedly agree with. Go support Asada; they’re worth believing in.

Basalt has delicious food! I’m vegan and my husband is not and they have so many vegan and non vegan options that are tasty and filling. Their coffee is one of my favorites in the area! The people who work here are also super helpful and kind! Highly recommend for breakfast or brunch! :)

This has to be the best breakfast burrito I've ever had, hands down! Spontaneously came here from a friend's recommendation, and now I can't stop recommending it to anyone who'll listen. This food was well worth every penny. There was plenty of food for me. I got one breakfast burrito with sausage, and I could only get through half, but even the leftovers were still delicious. I also tried a stack of pancakes, a couple sips of my friends' dirty horchata, and a limeade drink. Everything was fresh and authentic tasting. Some of the best tater tots with a perfect amount of crunch. We came in with a semi large group, but the staff handled it really well. They were very friendly, told us how their ordering system works, gave out some solid recommendations, and the wait time wasn't bad at all. I wish I could post a picture of my food, but I ate it before even thinking. They also have vegan substitutions that my vegan friend said was just as amazing. I can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu! Support local businesses so they can keep putting out amazing things like this!!
